Delaware’s inaugural Heat Awareness Week was the outcome of a collaboration between MAACH and a group of University of Delaware Students. With the help of states who have already implemented their own heat awareness programs and the support of local organizations, we have received an approved Governor’s Proclamation declaring May 18-22, 2026 Delaware Heat Awareness Week.
